Our three inns all reopened on Saturday 4th July with Physical Distancing and Enhanced Hygiene measures in place. Our reopening was possible thanks to the extraordinary efforts of our team. And, to help the whole country minimise the effect of Covid-19, we will again temporarily close on Wednesday 4th November at 10pm.
We continue to invest in our three beautiful sites and will look forward to offering freshly prepared food and a good selection of drinks when the Government confirms we can reopen. Expect a very warm welcome when you visit any of our teams.
The George at Backwell near Bristol was our first venture and opened in June 2011. In January 2014, we added a garden dining room and seven individually designed en suite bedrooms.
Our first pub restaurant in Yorkshire, The Square & Compass, opened in September 2012. It is popular with both locals and people visiting the beautiful countryside. Located in the village of North Rigton, The Square & Compass is four miles south west of Harrogate.
The Castle Inn sits at the heart of the historic village of Spofforth, five miles south east of Harrogate. The inn opened in November 2016 following extensive renovation and refurbishment. A range of stunning dining spaces and twelve individually designed bedrooms make it a very special place to visit.
Malvern Inns was created by David Roffe and Alastair Scott in October 2010. Both David and Alastair have worked in the hospitality industry for over three decades and share a passion for developing inns guests love to visit.
The company is named after the Malvern Hills that span the Worcestershire and Herefordshire border. They are a beautiful destination and are regularly visited by David and his family.
David and Alastair have key strategic and operational roles within Malvern Inns – but day to day management is delegated to highly experienced General Managers and their teams. Guests are greeted by knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff tasked with offering the best possible customer service.
